When you live in LA, you completely lose any sense of time. I have had these pictures from Angel City Brewery queued up for a blog post for quite some time. However, looking at these pictures, we have no way of knowing when this happened. I have many, many folders like this and I plan on eventually writing blog posts about all of them.
Anyways, after doing some research, I have determined that Shelby and I went to the Bob Ross Festival at Angel City Brewery last November. What is a Bob Ross Festival, you ask? Well, it’s an event to commemorate the famously gentle TV painter Bob Ross, a favorite for stoners and children alike. The festival featured a lookalike contest, which was open to anyone regardless of ethnicity or gender. There were also live painting demonstrations and, obviously, beer. It just sounded so funny we HAD to check it out.
Angel City Brewery is located in the Downtown LA Arts District which is DOPE. So much cool street art. Honestly, I could devote an entire post to the murals.
This is the Arts Share Building, which offers artist lofts and classes. Can I live there? Do I qualify as an artist?
Me and my dream car. By the way, that’s an energy drink. Don’t get any funny ideas! Gosh you know this is an old pic because the choker trend was in full swing back then.
I never saw so many people with brown curly wigs before this event, and I don’t think I ever will again.
Angel City Brewery also has this lovely plane display outside in its courtyard. Why? We just don’t know.
It was a super fun day, from what I remember. BUT I DON’T REMEMBER MUCH BECAUSE THIS HAPPENED ALMOST A YEAR AGO UGHHHHHHH! Get it together, Welsch.
Feel free to chime in with extra details, Shelby.
