Anyhow, moving on with my life, as you know, every self-respecting fashion blogger has style icons, and I am no exception. One of my top icons is Scarlett Johansson.
Scarlett has a great sense of style and always looks amazing. But perhaps my number one reason why I love her is because we have something in common:
Okay, there’s nothing wrong with being well-endowed in the chest department. People like boobs, everyone knows that. (Well, everyone likes big boobs EXCEPT for the fashion industry, but that’s another rant for another time). However, it’s often difficult to dress them. My chest can pretty much make any outfit look like the beginning of a porno (you know, when the secretary/teacher/school girl/nurse walks in, momentarily clothed). But Scarlett doesn’t look like a cheap whore, she looks classy and nice. Her clothing is classic and elegant, yet often daring and unexpected. I admire her style, and aim to replicate it.
This get-up from the MTV Movie Awards inspired me to write this post.
I must be doing something right with my life because, without ever having seen this picture, I bought a dress that looks exactly like this for my friend’s wedding. Except the fabric of my dress is taupe and more shimmery, and I believe there will be less side boob involved.
I really dig this picture, because this is the shit I have to work with every day. This totally supports my point that having a body like this sexualizes everything one chooses to wear. But I love her for it.
Hope all is well with everyone. I’m about to stuff my boobs into two bras to I can exercise without smacking myself in the face. Holla!
