A few weeks ago, I was selected as one of a few bloggers to review The Skinny Confidential‘s new Bombshell Body Guide. It really couldn’t have come for a better time for me, since I am basically coming out of hibernation and I’m actually starting to care about fitness and healthy eating for the first time ever.
The Bombshell Body Guide is a 28 week workout program with an accompanying nutrition plan designed by lifestyle/fitness blogger Lauryn Evarts and fitness and health expert Jaime McFaden. There are 3 workouts each week, and they last for around 30 minutes. You only need a chair and some dumbells, so they are perfect to do in your living room while you watch Netflix.
I have to say I really feel like this program eases you into exercising. I hate when you start a new workout regimen and you’re so sore the next day you can’t even walk. That doesn’t encourage me to workout! Although I’ve been sore from the Bombshell Body Guide, it’s been nothing unbearable. Though the workouts have gotten progressively harder, I feel like I’ve built enough strength to handle them. I actually did push-ups yesterday you guys! I wasn’t able to do them before so that’s a huge win.
Foodwise, I’ve been eating whole foods, smaller portions, less alcohol, and less sugar. Those are the basic principles of the Bombshell Body Guide nutrition plan, and I feel like I’m getting some good results. I’m no longer hungry all the time and I have a lot more energy. Plus, I’m saving money because I’m actually cooking food at home instead of going out all the time!
Guys, I can’t believe I’m posting pictures of myself in a bikini on the internet. But you’ve got to see it to believe it right? I am on vacation right now so I don’t have my tripod, but I took a quick snap of myself in the bathroom mirror to compare to my “before” picture and I am so pleasantly surprised! To be honest, I really didn’t feel much thinner. I don’t think the scale has moved at all, but you can see there’s definitely a difference happening in my belly area. For one, this bathing suit actually fits me! In my “before” picture, I was having a little overflow issue which is now mostly gone. Plus did I mention I can do push-ups now?!
So as you can see, The Bombshell Body Guide is definitely working! I’m excited to see what the next 2 weeks bring. Since their website is so new, there are a few usability issues I’ve had with their site. When I first started, I was having a difficult time logging in. I emailed them and they responded almost immediately and fixed my issue, which was awesome! I also wish that the Workout Library was searchable, because I am not familiar with a lot of the exercises so I’m not sure if they fall into the core, full body, arms, or legs categories. I hear that in the future there will be workout videos, which would really be awesome! Right now I research the moves and then set the IntervalTimer app on my phone.
Check back in 2 weeks for another update! Hopefully we see more progress!
