I’ve got to be honest, I’m not really an Easter person. Pastels, eggs, and bunnies aren’t really my aesthetic. But my parents told me that if I came home, there would be a delicious meal so how can I say no to that? We always have lamb for Easter, but this year our menu was North African-inspired with a variety of dips and sauces. It was UNBELIEVABLE.
My stomach may never return to it’s usual size.
Hot cross buns
Quinoa salad with feta and pine nuts
My darling Gibby
Dad basting the lamb, prepared in a Moroccan style known as Mechoui.
My mom is everything.
We had three different sauces for the lamb. This one was made of roasted eggplant, onion, and garlic with butter. It was scrumptious.
This lamb is NSFW.
I’m getting hungry again just looking at these pictures! Luckily my parents gave me some leftovers to take home with me. I actually thought that I took a lot more pictures of this meal, but I guess I was just too busy visiting with family and playing with the dog. It was nice to see everyone but now I’m back to the grind…
What did you do for Easter? Do you have a special traditional meal?
