Ya know, it’s funny that I wasn’t going to take my camera out last night, then my boss let us out of work a little early so I went home to get it before going out, and then I took like a million pictures! Anyhow, last night I went to the South Fourth Street area of Columbus with my future roomie Carolyn and her brother. The South Fourth Street area is super fun and relatively new, with lots of chill places to drink and eat, including an old-school arcade!
Before we went to dinner, we had some margs at Carolyn’s. Isn’t her bar cart to die for?
We live pretty close to South Fourth Street and it was a nice night, so we just decided to walk there. I don’t love walking on cobblestones in platforms, but what can you do?
The leaves are coming out!
First stop of the night was Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace, where they have a huge selection of gourmet hot dogs and lots of metal memorabilia on the walls. I’d actually never been there before even though it’s like a Columbus institution! Usually the wait is super long and I just give up and go to El Camino.
I ordered a chili dog (the one loaded with cheese) and a hot dog with cole slaw, potato chips, and Sriracha. They use all-beef hot dogs and they were SO GOOD. If you’re in Columbus, you have to check this place out.
Carolyn drinking an orange soda and whiskey. I didn’t even know that was a thing!
After stuffing ourselves silly with hot dogs and tater tots, we headed over to 16 Bit for more beer and some arcade games.
Me, having wayyyy too much fun in the arcade.
On the way home, I took some snaps of German Village at night. I thought they were so cool and artistic, but when I looked at my camera, they were mostly just a blurry mess. I guess alcohol will do that to you…
This morning I had a restorative Mazatlan Pork & Egg Sandwich at Katalina’s in Harrison West. Oh my God was this good! It included “a fried egg, local Amish provolone, avocado, roasted red peppers, homemade ranchero sauce & Sriracha-lime aioli on toasted Old World loaf.” Like whoa, right? Definitely needed a nap after that thing.
Now I guess I should work on getting my eBay store ready for you guys. I definitely have some really fun pieces to sell. I think you’re going to like it!
What are you up to this weekend?
