Yay dudes it’s finally spring! I love when the weather starts to get warmer. I can finally go on walks and drink on patios like I always want to do! However, the rising temperatures also mean SEASONAL ALLERGIES. Once all those trees and plants start blooming, pollen really starts wreaking havoc on allergy sufferers. Seasonal allergies and fluctuating temperatures can really mess up your skin, especially if your skin is sensitive.

I usually get some form of dermatitis in the spring, but last year I got the WORST case of eczema on my face. I had dry, scaly patches on my cheeks and forehead and they itched like crazy! I was totally miserable. I tried eczema cream, coconut oil, and olive oil, but nothing worked until I borrowed a bottle of Aura Cacia Rosehip Oil from my mom (and never gave it back). This stuff works, people!

Rosehip Oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of rose fruits (AKA hips). It’s filled with anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids like linoleic acid and omega-6. I originally started using it for its calming properties, which help with allergy breakouts and rashes. However, it’s also known for its ability to rejuvenate skin. This makes it great for reducing the appearance of acne scars and speeding up recovery from sunburns. Rosehip oil is considered a “dry oil,” meaning the formula is super light and non-greasy, so you can wear it all summer with sunscreen or other moisturizers.

My only complaint about this product is that it doesn’t smell very good. Rosehips are pretty potent! However, the smell wears off really quickly and once you see what an amazing glow this oil gives you, you won’t even care about the smell. If it really bothers you, you could always add a few drops of an essential oil like lavender into the bottle.

For giveaways, I always want to give you guys my absolute favorite products. You know, the products that really CHANGED things for me. Seriously, you guys don’t even know how miserable I was before I started to use this and then my skin was just GLOWING! Anyhow, I really wanted to give you guys a bottle of this and Aura Cacia was nice enough to supply a bottle for a giveaway!

The giveaway ends on April 20th. To enter, you just need to follow on Bloglovin, Twitter & Instagram. You can also follow on Pinterest or tweet about the giveaway for extra entries! You can earn an extra entry for tweeting about the giveaway for every day you tweet.

  1. Oooh sounds heavenly. Is it open internationally?

  2. This sounds amazing! I'd love to try oils but I'm scared they'd break me out. My little boy suffers with eczema and we use hemp lotion from the body shop. It works a treat but I'll have to look into this as I'm guessing it is a cheaper alternative

  3. What a lovely giveaway! Thanks for sharing! Great post! 🙂

  7. Wow! This post just blew my mind. I've been dealing with eczema since I was a teenager and it freaking sucks. By juicing carrots and orange skin, which tasted horrible, for 3 months straight I finally rid myself of the really intense breakouts. Now I just have a few itchy patches around winter and spring, when my skin gets really dry. I had no idea rosehips oil rejuvenated skin. I'm going to grab some today.

  8. Wonderful!! You have a super cute blog! Enjoy your day, dear!!

  10. A while ago, I followed my friend's advice to use a homemade oil face cleanser. One of the components was rosehip oil, but I hadn't tried it on its own. These days I stick to a skincare regimen dominated by Korean and Japanese products. But, I still wish I could get more glow and less discoloration (who doesn't?!) I'm pretty curious to try this out! Do you swear by this brand or have you tried other brands as well?

  11. Oooh, sounds soo cool!
