MARCH HAIR & BEAUTY FAVORITES

MARCH HAIR & BEAUTY FAVORITES

posted in: BEAUTY, BLOG | 30
First of all, it’s April. Can I get a hell yeah? The weather is starting to warm up here in Ohio. I am not going to bore you with the usual spiel about how the time is going by so fast. This was the longest winter of my life and I am anxiously awaiting the months ahead. I cannot WAIT for it to be summer. Who’s with me?

Anyhow, I haven’t done a round-up of my favorite hair and beauty products since, like, December. We have a lot of catching up to do!

pura d'or shampoo and conditioner chi hair straightener rose gold pantene batiste dry shampoo

HAIR

I am currently testing out Pura d’or Hair Loss Prevention Premium Organic Shampoo
and Argan Oil Conditioner, so stay tuned for a review! So far, so good. My only complaint is that they come in pump bottles and it’s pretty hard for me to reach the pump when they’re on my shelf in the shower! Short girl problems, right?

I FINALLY got through all the bottles of dry shampoo I used for this post, so now I can finally devote myself 100% to my favorite: Batiste Dry Shampoo Original
. This stuff is the shit. It makes your hair look ACTUALLY clean and doesn’t leave a nasty build up. Plus, it smells nice.

I also recently purchased a rose gold Chi straightener, and I’m pretty much loving it. But with the new hot tools in my routine, I decided to pick up a heat protectant so I got this Pantene Heat Protection Spray. It’s just okay. If you guys have any recommendations for a better heat protectant, I’m all ears!

SKIN

Things have been going pretty damn well for me in the skincare department. In the morning, I wash my face with Burt’s Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser
. It smells SO GOOD and it tastes good too. Yeah, I tasted it. So what. When I get out of the shower, I use JASON Pure Natural Hand & Body Lotion. It’s super moisturizing, all natural, and it smells amazing. However, it’s pretty heavy so I’m probably going to try to find something lighter now that we’re moving into warmer weather.

At night I’ve been using Radha Beauty Coconut Oil
to remove my make-up. This stuff is rad. My make-up melts straight off. I clean up any remaining make-up with Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes. Let’s be honest: if I’m feeling lazy, I skip the coconut oil and just wipe off my face with one of these babies. I don’t feel nearly as clean, but sometimes I just don’t feel like washing my face.

Once I’ve gotten all my make-up off, I use Radha Beauty Vitamin C Serum
, OZ Naturals Eye Gel
, and Radha Beauty Retinol Moisturizer Cream
. I try to wait a minute or two in between each layer to give everything a chance to sink in. If you’re curious about my anti-aging skincare routine, I’ve written more about it here. I’ve been doing this for about a month now and I’m seeing a HUGE difference in my skin. I feel like I look like I’m 21 again.

MAKE-UP

Finally, make-up. Hell yeah! I’m still 100% obsessed with Skin79 Hot Pink BB Cream
. This stuff is literally the best ever. You can read my full review here

After I apply my BB cream, I put NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
on my eyelids. I have maybe the world’s greasiest eyelids so this step is pretty critical. I’ve been loving Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palette lately, which I always apply with Real Techniques Eye Brushes
. These things are SO CLUTCH. You can go from dark colors to light and back with no mix-up of colors. I’m not a scientist. I don’t know how it works but I love it. On my eyelashes, I use Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Blackest Black
. I’ve been wanting to branch out more with mascara, but I have been using this stuff since seventh grade. Why abandon the tried and true?

Oh, how did that get in there? Just me and Dolly Llama hanging out. NBD.

Anyhow, on the left is the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick. It’s a very pretty, matte rose color. It makes me feel very grown up and pulled together. It’s pretty drying, but Ulta has it on sale for $0.97 now so what do you have to lose? On the right is the NYX butter gloss in Cherry Pie. It makes me feel like a hot mess and I love it.

By the way, how cute is this lipstick pouch that my friend Alicia made for me for Christmas?

It’s a mouth, get it?! I die. She’s a genius.

What have you guys been using lately? Please share in the comments! I’m always up for trying to new things!
