Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals! I hope Santa brought you everything you dreamed of. I am still waiting for my sister to wake up so we can open our gifts, so I’ve had plenty of time to edit my photos from last night’s Christmas Eve feast.
Every year my dad cooks up an epic meal for our over-consumption on the night before Christmas. My mom acts as sous chef, and together they create some of the richest, most delicious foods I’ve ever eaten. Like, it’s seriously a miracle I didn’t weigh 200 pounds by the time I moved out. Last night’s menu included turducken from Catullo’s, twice-baked potatoes, brussel sprouts with bacon and balsamic vinegar, crab cakes with homemade remoulade, rolls, and cheesecake. I had two servings of everything and it was absolutely worth the indigestion later.
I was in charge of the playlist and documenting the experience. If you want to listen to some rad Christmas music, check out this post and this post!
Um, can you guess which wrapping paper is mine? Shout out to the girls at work who took pity on me and wrapped my gifts! I have a serious issue with wrapping.
My grandpa used to make Christmas ornaments. He made these ice skates. Aren’t they awesome?
My sister’s spooky Christmas tree.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
