Hey guys! I used to do a feature called “Link Round-Up” and I’d like to bring it back to give props to all my favorite blogs out there. I can (almost) hardly wait to get out of bed in the morning so I can drink coffee while reading all my faves. Here’s a few things I’ve been excited about this week:
First off, major shout out to Into the Gloss. This is basically my favorite blog. I just love the combination of wit and actual beauty wisdom. Seriously, shoot me an email. I want to be a part. Anyhow, per usual they posted a lot of great things this week, but I particularly loved excerpts from this 1970’s diet book which advocated for “towel flagellation” to fight cellulite. Um…?
I definitely downloaded every app Emily of Cupcakes in Cashmere recommended in this article about Instagram tips. Now if only I could improve my “eye”…
I’ve been gagging for a fiddle leaf fig tree for a long time now. If I ever do take the plunge and buy one (pretty risky when my monthly house decorating budget is only $80!), I’ll definitely be referring to this post from House Tweaking for how to take care of one!
I have a big plastic container of silk scarves from thrift stores that I’ve been lugging around from apartment to apartment since 2007. And not once have I worn one. I’ve just been waiting…for this specific post apparently! Honestly WTF’s examples of neckerchief street style are so awesome. I’m inspired to break out the bin and try my hand at styling one.
I am unspeakably jealous of the pictures The Cherry Blossom Girl has been posting of her trip to Cuba lately. Moving on…
The Smitten Kitchen usually posts recipes that are about 5 notches of skill level above my cooking experience, but this truly looks like a “good lunch salad” I could make – Kale and Quinoa Salad with Ricotta.
Ah, this room! Do you think if I painted my bedroom pink my landlords would even notice or care?! Thanks, SF Girl by the Bay, for really making me question the value of my security deposit.
Late Afternoon has been killing it lately. Would you look at that skirt? I think it’s really her pink hair that are taking her usually stylish outfits out of the stratosphere.
